Come with Jim on a 3-day photo adventure to Mexico. Ensenada lies only an hour and 15 minutes south of the border, yet it’s surprising how few people have discovered all of it’s wonderful photographic opportunities. From the bustling fish market at the colorful wharf to the Riviera Cultural Center, formerly a casino owned by the boxer Jack Dempsey, and financed by Al Capone, the downtown area has numerous subjects to photograph. We’ll photograph the harbor scenes, pelicans, sea lions, people, colorful shops and signs, vendors and their wares, and musicians.

On the second day we'll take a boat ride in the harbor before making the scenic drive to the famous blowhole situated out on beautiful Punta Banda. We’ll photograph seascapes, vendors and musicians, the blowhole, and maybe a beautiful sunset. On Day 3 we'll drive to Tecate, passing through Mexico's wine country and small towns along the way. After a winery tour and wine-tasting, we'll finish in the authentic Mexican town of Tecate, in the Parque Hidalgo, the central plaza where many of the local people come to socialize and listen to the mariachis play. We will also visit a very rustic pottery factory to document the lives of the local people.

During the trip, Jim will give slide show lectures on creating more dynamic photographs and on maximizing your results with digital SLR cameras

TRIP DETAILS:
A passport is required for U.S citizens for all travel to Mexico .
The weather is very similar to coastal Southern California. We will provide drinking water, and there will be plenty of opportunities to eat in clean restaurants, but participants are free to bring snack food if you wish.. U.S. dollars are accepted everywhere.
